This page explains the terms that govern your use of Rooto, including subscription details and our cancellation and refund policy — in plain language, without unnecessary legal complexity. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rooto (whether as a guest or with a registered account), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the site.

The Service

Rooto is an interactive tool for learning Arabic vocabulary through roots and morphological patterns. It offers a free tier with certain features and daily limits, and paid tiers (monthly and yearly) that remove these limits and add extra features, as described on the subscription page. We're continuously improving and expanding the site, and the features included in each tier may change over time.

Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating your account, and for keeping your password confidential. Any activity that happens through your account is your responsibility, so please let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Subscriptions & Billing

Rooto currently offers two paid plans: a Monthly plan at $6, billed every month, and a Yearly plan at $50, billed every year. Payment is processed entirely through PayPal, and charges are in US dollars.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the same price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. If we ever change pricing, we'll notify you in advance of any renewal at the new price.

Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time using the "Cancel subscription" button on the in-app Subscribe page (shown once you're an active subscriber), or directly from your PayPal account (Settings → Payments → Automatic payments).

  • What happens when you cancel: auto-renewal stops immediately — but your paid benefits stay active until the end of the period you already paid for (no immediate cutoff). Your account then automatically returns to the Free plan.
  • Refunds: since Rooto is a digital service whose benefits (unlimited spins, unlimited collection, etc.) are delivered immediately upon payment, we generally don't offer partial or full refunds for the current billing period once payment has been completed.
  • Exceptions: if you were charged twice by mistake, or there was a genuine billing error on our end, contact us at the email below and we'll make it right immediately.

Acceptable Use

Please use Rooto in good faith: don't attempt to hack or exploit technical vulnerabilities, don't abuse the spin mechanic (e.g. automated tools/bots spinning the machine unnaturally), and don't resell or share access to a paid account with other people.

Content & Intellectual Property

The site's design, source code, and the database of roots, words, and examples displayed are all the property of Rooto (LangPage). This content may not be copied or redistributed commercially without our prior written permission.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

We provide Rooto "as is." We work hard to keep the educational content accurate and the service running reliably, but we don't guarantee it's entirely free of errors or available with 100% uptime. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you've actually paid Rooto in the past 12 months.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that clearly violates these terms (such as abuse or attempts to compromise the system), notifying you where reasonably possible.

Changes to These Terms

We may update this page from time to time as the site and its features evolve (including subscription pricing or the refund policy). We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever a meaningful change is made.
